Welcome back Monica Goodling

The Wall Street Journal is reporting today that Monica Goodling is one of two top aides to former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales who violated federal law. Goodlings hire powered attorney John Dowd (still don't know how she can afford such a costly attorney)could not be reached for comment. But the new report from the Justice Dept states that Ms. Goodling herself weeded out Democrats and even a lesbian when hiring prosecutors and judges. Unfortunately, if I recall correctly from my previous posts, Ms. Goodling was granted immunity by Congress for her testimony. But it appears that some charges may still be brought and at the very least she may lose her law license. Although the report seems to vindicate the former attorney general, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy did seem to indicate that the report concluded this was a widely used or accepted practice in this administration and "not just the actions of a few 'bad apples.'"
